My mother was always a big believer in God giving you a sign and then us not understanding what that sign meant. Whenever we would ask her "what do you think God is saying..." She would always reply back, "That's for him to know and for you to find out."

As most of you know my mother passed away on January 26th of 2021. Not the way I wanted to start the new year, but 2 days after her death, I had a shoot.

Now normally this would be an emergency situation where I would need to reschedule, but something told me to go.

So I made the trip up to Corydon, Indiana and met up with Lindsey and her ranch horse Koa. They are a gifted pair together. They're still learning each other's cues but this shoot taught me something.

In times of grief there will be days where we have to pick up and work. We may not want to but it's in our nature to work. It's in my nature to grieve while working. So this shoot I was able to express my grief through the one thing I'm passionate about...photography.

Here are just a few of my favorite photos of Lindsey + Koa PLUS a little fun shot of Lindsey's liberty horse Joy!
